Au Temps Du Klimt, La Sécession A Vienne

Location: Pinacothéque de Paris // 8 rue Vignon, 75009

End date: June 21, 2015

Illuminating the path of artistic development along the Viennese Secession up to early expressionism; this gallery is packed with works from an assortment of Viennese masterminds in a variety of mediums. Over zealous Gustave Klimt fans hoping for a plethora of 'golden phase' content may leave a tad disappointed. The Pinacothéque does miss a few major pieces well loved by the public however, it provides face to face interaction with intriguing visuals like the Beethoven Frieze and Judith I (1901). Klimt fans also get a bite of some rare documentation on his life, family, and the representation of his artist brothers, Ernst and Georg. Without steep expectations on arrival, this exhibit showcases a coloured collection that will sound a note in the hearts of many.
