Walking by Merci, it’s easy to be drawn to this multi-faceted concept store. Its Used Book Café has its own particular charm as the small but cheerful wait staff hustles between rows of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and mismatched seating. Complimentary cake bites and mint-infused water are charming additions to the oversized mugs of tea and delightful cappuccinos.
Perhaps the best part of the café is given away in the name. As they enjoy their daily caffeine boost, customers are welcome to sample from the hundreds of used books lining the walls, and can even purchase said reading material before moving on to the retail portion of the store.
A must-do if for any book-lover/coffee-fiend with time on their hands.
