Merci presents Khadi & Co.

End date: March 14 2015

For a few weeks only, Merci collaborates with Bess Nielsen in celebration of her 10 year anniversary with Khadi&Co.

An installation is set in the atrium of Merci in the form of ten floating angels gracefully swirling. Inspired by a love of India and Nielsen’s Scandinavian roots, it is a display of the crispest linen in low-key, simple designs.

Nielsen uses the textile Khadi, adding a certain charm to the collection, which is spun and woven by hand to create and develop her unique style of designing and above all is a reflection of Mahatma Gandhi’s movement in the 1920’s; a movement to promote the use of raw Indian materials.
