Salon des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants

by Eden Carter

Pavillon 7/1 Paris Expo

November 27th - December 1st

After fetching your complimentary wine glass at the door, the carpeted path of Pavillion 7/1 takes you deep into the swarming thousands. Why did so many regions of France come together for the weekend? Drinking of course. Whether curious, critical or armed with the intention of purchasing your favorites in bulk, this festival is quite a frenzy of fact and flavor.

I stayed at the festival for three hours discussing the various tastes and practices that went into my favorite Bordeaux, Champagne, Cognac, and everything that sparked my fancy. Despite a full afternoon of indulgence I hardly managed to make a dent in the long list of contenders. For anyone who has the knowledge or is looking to gain some, I highly recommend warming up your November with this crowd of connoisseurs. And don't worry, in typical French fashion there is a presence of both cheese and chocolate venders to compliment to your joyful sipping.
