Fragments

76, rue de Tournelles PARIS 3ème

Wednesday to Friday: 9h – 17h

Saturday to Sunday: 10h – 17h

As a filtered coffee junky, talking to baristas has become one of my favorite pasttimes. I generally float between Aeropress and V60, whatever the specialty happens to be. The barista at Fragments was fantastic. Lo, Phoebe and I were greatly amused and pleased by his willingness to share. He brought me a great aeropress of a Kenyan (Mont Kenya) blend roasted by Caffè Cataldi called KIANGOI AA. This specific roaster is a friend of the barista and runs his well-known roaster out of his garage - that's awesome. He also plays with the roasting of the KIANGOI AA and gives this wonderful cafe exclusive roasts.

The café has that hole-in-the-wall atmosphere we love. Regulars come in an out all day long, food is offered, but you can slip in for a great coffee at any time. It is located off the main road so it's peaceful and quiet. Exposed brick and the wooden beams add to the cozy ambiance. Fragments has become a new favorite amongst the violet7 crew!
